Born in Salatiga, Indonesia, Bio Andaru currently lives and works in Yogyakarta. He studied art and community at Komunitas Tanam untuk Kehidupan in Salatiga, sculpture at Komroden Haro studio, and fine arts at ISI Yogyakarta Indonesia, where he completed his formal studies. Employing various media and materials, his works span installation art, sculptures, and drawings, and tackle sociocultural, environmental, and ecological themes. Bio is also interested in classics and traditions, especially those connected to ancestors.
