Originally from Kaélé in the Far North Region, Ernest Dizoumbe Oumarou is the eldest son of a family of 9 brothers and sisters. Very early on at the age of 5 at Mbouda public school, he discovered a predisposition to drawing. Today, Ernest is a full-time artist with a Master's degree in Fine Arts. Ernest addresses themes that draw on social, psychological, philosophical or historical reflections. and, in particular, questions the human condition in the face of internal and external pressures. He works between several techniques: acrylic, knife, modeling paste, markers for calligraphy and Indian ink for watercolors. While revisiting figurative expressionism and abstraction in a contemporary way, he create pseudo-portraits of sensitive or vulnerable beings in relation to their spaces.
