Mucyo Mu is a Rwandan and French contemporary visual artist who graduated from the University of Paris in Fine Arts. He has developed and continues to explore his own style based on the “bleaching process” of textiles. He first experimented with the “bleach” technique in 2004 during his art studies at the University of Vincennes in Paris (France). Most of his creations are made during his various trips where he immerses himself in the local experience in order to immerse himself in his surroundings as much as possible before paying homage to the history, culture or people of the country through his work.
