JBRA is a Spanish visual artist based in Madrid, who for years has combined his dedication to painting with his passion for writing. He studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid and was a scholarship holder in the Free Media Department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 1997. He has worked as a Secondary Education teacher of Drawing and, later, as an Assistant in Libraries, Archives and Museums of the Madrid City Council for fourteen years. Currently, he dedicates himself exclusively to various creative and editorial projects, as well as teaching. Since 2018, he is a founding partner of the artist platform Labbrut, Laboratory Gross, based in Carabanchel, Madrid.
