Caroline studied Foundation Year and then Art and Design at Brighton College of Art, under renowned illustrators Raymond Briggs and John Lord, followed by a Post Graduate year in Illustration at Central School of Art in London. After graduation she worked as assistant to the celebrated illustrator Jan Pienkowski at his studio in Barnes, London. She hand-lettered the text for his famous Meg and Mog childrens books, helped design greeting cards, wrapping paper and stickers for Jan's company Gallery Five, and worked on a series of designs for the well-known wallpaper company Coloroll. Caroline then moved into publishing, initially for Marshall Cavendish in Soho, London, becoming a Senior Designer working on a range of general interest illustrated books. She then became an Art Director at children's publisher Walker Books, working with authors and illustrators such as Helen Oxenbury, Shirley Hughes, Michael Rosen and Jill Murphy. She has written and illustrated everal of her own children's books She recently gained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Northbrook MET in Worthing and is a practicing fine artist.
