Jeffery Baidoo, born in 1997 in Accra, Ghana, is a contemporary African artist known for his use of diverse materials in his work. His artistic journey began in 2016 when he started attending painting classes at the Artcenter in Accra. In 2017, he began experimenting with fabrics, taking one of his homemade cloths to a tailor with the intention of having it made into a shirt. While at the tailor's shop, he discovered a collection of leftover fabrics, which sparked his creative curiosity. He chose bright-colored cotton fabrics and began to blend them with paint, gradually developing his signature style that merges the tactile qualities of fabric with the fluidity of paint.
