Born in Lhuntse in 1996, Lhaksam Tempey Gyeltshen's creative journey began at the age of four, fueled by early encouragement to draw freely. This foundational experience fostered a lifelong passion for art, initially manifested in sketching and doodling. Although a brief introduction to VAST Bhutan was interrupted by studies abroad, he has recently returned to the creative hub, reigniting a dedication to artmaking. The artist is drawn primarily to sketching, capturing the likenesses of people and animals, and most recently, exploring still life. For him, art is a meditative practice, providing a refuge for the mind and a path towards self-discovery.
