Caiyun Chen, born in Shanghai in 2002 and now based in Glasgow, is a multidisciplinary artist working with experimental video, installations, graphics, and electronic music. A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art (MFA, 2024), Chen explores the impact of technology on visual perception through image reconstruction and digital intervention. Their practice also encompasses intertextual writing, interimagery, and noise experimentation, challenging established notions of visual power, identity, and representation. Their work has been exhibited in Shanghai and Glasgow since 2020.
