Kyliemera Kapiri is an abstract artist based in Lae, Papua New Guinea. Born and raised in Lae, she hails from Ialibu in the Southern Highlands province. Kyliemera discovered her passion for painting in September 2019, when she picked up a paintbrush for the first time. Prior to pursuing art, she graduated from the University of Papua New Guinea in 2019 with a Bachelor of Environmental Science and worked in her family's business.

Her artwork primarily focuses on environmental themes, reflecting her academic background and personal concerns about climate change and deforestation. She uses vibrant colors and abstract forms to express the challenges facing Papua New Guinea's natural landscapes. Through her art, Kyliemera aims to raise awareness about environmental and social issues, using her creative expression to inspire change and appreciation for Papua New Guinea's rich cultural and natural heritage.
