Tashi Pelzom is a Bhutanese mixed-media artist whose passion for art began in childhood with simple pencil sketches. Her artistic journey deepened in 2013 when she joined VAST Bhutan, igniting her interest in exploring the beauty and potential of diverse colors. Inspired by the work of Asha Kama and deeply encouraged by her artist husband, Pelzom strives to balance her artistic pursuits with her career as an early childhood educator and her responsibilities as a mother. Driven by a desire to be recognized as a realistic artist, she embraces any medium that allows her to cultivate creativity and patience through detailed work. Her mixed-media pieces are richly textured, incorporating materials like clay and marble powder to add depth and dimension, inviting a tactile and immersive experience for the viewer.
