Takis Karampampas (b. 1994, Athens) is a Greek painter who grew up in the countryside near Poros and trained in Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He studied Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and earned his MA in Painting in 2023 from the Royal College of Art’s School of Arts & Humanities.Karampampas’s practice is deeply rooted in the materiality and process of his medium—primarily charcoal and oil—where gestural, organic forms emerge in landscapes that hover between the real and the subconscious. His work frequently evokes existential themes—death, time, love—using archetypal motifs to create fictional, dreamlike environments that negotiate the interplay between matter and the unconscious.
