Rizpah Amadasun is a multidisciplinary artist and spoken word performer based in London, originally from the Cotswolds. Currently completing an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, she brings a vibrant and courageous approach to her practice, which spans visual and verbal storytelling. Having performed at the Cheltenham Literature Festival for two consecutive years, Rizpah is already an established voice in the UK’s spoken word scene. Her painting practice is driven by process and experimentation, embracing a wide range of surfaces and forms. Central to her work is the representation of the Black British figure, explored through fantasy, desire, emotion, realism, and a bold visual language of colour and shape. For Rizpah, art is a space for individualism, transformation, and unapologetic expression.
