Densen Almeda is a visual artist whose work explores themes of healing, interpersonal relationships, and the human condition through a distinctive blend of surrealism, pop aesthetics, and naturalistic imagery. Since joining the art scene in 2020, Densen has developed a signature style marked by bold symbolism, superimposition, and graphic elements that create emotionally resonant narratives across drawings, paintings, and installations. A graduate of the University of the Philippines – Cebu with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts (Magna Cum Laude, Best Thesis), Densen has garnered national acclaim, winning the Grand Prize at the Shell National Student’s Art Competition in 2022, being a semifinalist in the Metrobank Art Competition, and receiving consecutive NCCA Bagong Biswal grants.
