Artist Profile
Salomon Moneyang
Contemporary visual artist from Cameroon
Salomon Moneyang (b. 1994, Yaoundé, Cameroon) is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores themes of love, family, and everyday life through vibrant, emotionally charged imagery. A graduate of the Fine Arts Institute of the University of Douala with a degree in Plastic Arts, he began drawing in childhood and has since developed a distinct style rooted in personal memory, Afro-love culture, and social observation. Working primarily with acrylic paint, Moneyang transforms intimate experiences, dreams, and photographs into expressive portraits and scenes that offer a quiet yet powerful reflection of his inner world. Painting serves as both his voice and his therapy, allowing him to heal, connect, and tell his story with honesty and depth.
