Alexei Blagodarev is a Switzerland-based multidisciplinary artist whose work centers on atmosphere, emotional precision, and visual symbolism. Born in Arkhangelsk, Russia, he began with traditional folk painting before developing a self-taught practice shaped by his years as a florist, decorator, and his encounters with Matisse, Picasso, Malevich, and Kandinsky at the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg. Working across still life and figuration, Blagodarev transforms simple forms folded cloths, tablescapes, and quiet human figures into poetic harmonies of color and geometry.
