Erica Adjei is a mixed media artist based in Accra, Ghana, whose creative journey began in high school, where she studied Visual Arts with a focus on picture making, leatherwork, economics, and general knowledge in art. After completing her secondary education, she honed her skills through an apprenticeship with the renowned artist C. Annor, an experience that deepened her artistic foundation and vision. During this period, while working as a bookbinder, Erica found inspiration in her surroundings—particularly the abundance of discarded paper—and began incorporating waste materials into her art. This practice not only reflects her commitment to sustainability but also embodies her belief in transforming the overlooked and discarded into something meaningful and beautiful, giving new life to materials through creativity and purpose.
