Dahlia Baasher is a Sudanese multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto whose work investigates the layered intersections of identity, power, and resistance within the Sudanese community and its global diaspora. Through a rich visual language that weaves together symbolism, figurative elements, architectural references, and narrative layering, she challenges viewers to confront what is normalized, what is erased, and whose voices are allowed to be seen and heard. Her practice addresses themes such as state violence, displacement, and gender with an unflinching urgency, aiming to disrupt passive observation and spark critical dialogue.
