Born to celebrated fashion designer Anamika Khanna and growing up surrounded by art and fashion, Viraj always felt inclined towards something creative, and personal. Having no formal training in fine arts, he began trying to learn things himself, through books and online courses. And that’s how he stumbled upon creating art through hand-cut collages. Most of his work is about the human condition, the contradictions, the faces we put on. Vulnerability and its role has been of paramount importance to his work. According to Khanna, his art is an expression of striving to be whole and the repercussions of that striving.
