Artist Profile

Abigail Raine
Artist based in the US
Abigail Raine is an artist and printmaker, whose practice embraces the repetitive, nuanced nature of printmaking as a means of addressing societal concerns rooted in visibility. A Herron School of Art and Design alumnus in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a Northern Illinois University (NIU) MFA candidate in DeKalb, Illinois, she works across intaglio, chromolithography, and other printmaking methods to explore themes of change and transformation through self-love, acceptance, womanhood, and neurodivergence. Through feminine motifs, vintage aesthetics, and recurring figures marked by both delicacy and strength, Raine conveys the fragile yet powerful experience of embracing vulnerability. Drawing from her own life as well as the observed experiences of peers and strangers worldwide, she translates collective narratives into a personal visual language, contributing to broader conversations on self-love, visibility, and the complex dynamics of shared humanity.
