The theories of Minimal Art, Post Minimal Art and Land Art enter his work in many ways. The artist explores the interplay between the constructs of the industrial and the ecological, the urban and the natural, the collective and the individual. Following a site-specific, experimental, and process-oriented artistic approach, he makes use of the technique of casting, whereby the examination of seemingly contradictory material properties and the appropriation of everyday objects are crucial. Patrick Ostrowsky deals with the concept of plasticity, which is equally defined by form and material, and strives for balance.
