Doaa Fakher (Cairo) is a contemporary Egyptian artist whose practice interrogates human and societal conditions through expressive figuration. Holding a BA in Art Education from Cairo University and an MA in African Arts from Helwan University, she draws on both academic research and lived experience to explore themes of social injustice, vulnerability, and resilience. Her work is characterized by anonymous, often distorted figures rendered through layered applications of acrylic, oil, and silkscreen, occasionally extending into sculpture. Influenced by critical discourses within African and diasporic art, Fakher situates her practice within broader conversations on identity and power.
