Natália Junasová
Slovak visual artist
Natália Junasová is a Slovak visual artist from Partizánske whose work explores abstraction, emotion, and the hidden structures of the natural and social world. She studied Applied Painting and Promotional Art, including manual textile processing, at the Dezider Kardoš Private Conservatory of Applied Art in Topoľčany (2005–2010). Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Junasová creates dynamic compositions built from linear outlines, simplified forms, and vibrant colours, often incorporating materials such as gel pen and watercolour to enhance texture and depth. Her paintings draw inspiration from microbiological systems, ancient cultures, and the complexities of contemporary consumer society. Through expressive abstraction, she reflects on human curiosity, relationships, and fundamental emotions, inviting viewers to engage with deeper questions while maintaining a sense of positivity and visual vitality.
