Artist Profile

Bojan Stricevic
Serbian painter
Bojan Stricevic (Novi Sad, Serbia) is a Serbian painter whose work is rooted in a classical approach to drawing and painting. He graduated from the Bogdan Šuput School for Design in Novi Sad before completing his bachelor’s and master’s studies at the Academy of Fine Arts of EDUCONS University under Vasilij Dolovacki and Dragan Martinovic. His academic research focused on the work of American painter John Singer Sargent and Russian painting of the late 19th and early 20th centuries—an influence that continues to shape his artistic language. Inspired by masters such as Ilya Repin, Isaac Levitan, Vasily Polenov, and Ivan Shishkin, Stricevic builds his compositions on strong draftsmanship and works across watercolor, dry pastel, and oil on canvas. Through rich colour and atmospheric scenes, he seeks to preserve the beauty of fleeting moments, transforming them into timeless, poetic images. An active member of the ESNAF art association, Stricevic began his artistic journey at the age of seven in the studio of academic painter Viktor Škrabanj, where he first practiced drawing from a live model.
