Artist Profile

Laslo Sergiu is a Romanian contemporary painter currently living and working in Cluj-Napoca. Their artistic practice is shaped by a strong academic foundation in visual arts, having studied at the Painting Department of the University of Arts and Design Cluj-Napoca beginning in 2012, following earlier training at the School of Fine Arts “Romul Ladea”, where they studied between 2005 and 2012. Working within the field of contemporary painting, the artist’s work reflects an ongoing engagement with image-making, materiality, and the expressive possibilities of paint, informed by both formal training and the evolving cultural landscape of contemporary Romania.
