Artist Profile

Gloria Muthoka is a visual artist working across graphic design, graphic recording, and both traditional and digital media, based in Nairobi. Operating from a studio at the GoDown Arts Centre, she develops vibrant, story-driven visual work that translates ideas, narratives, and organizational messages into compelling imagery. Her practice is informed by the social and cultural dynamics of contemporary life, drawing inspiration from everyday experiences and collective environments. Through collaborations with various organizations, Muthoka uses visual storytelling to give form to ideas and amplify communication, while maintaining a consistent emphasis on joy, encouragement, and human connection as guiding principles within her work.
