Teetuch Hongkhongkha
Emerging interdisciplinary artist from Thailand
Teetuch Hongkhongkha (b. 1998, Nakhon Phanom, Thailand) is an emerging interdisciplinary artist whose practice investigates the complex entanglements between human consumption, plastic waste, and ecological systems. Working across painting, mixed media, experimental art, and installation, Hongkhongkha transforms discarded single-use plastics into vibrant visual forms that challenge conventional perceptions of waste and material value. Since 2019, his work has centered on the environmental consequences of plastic pollution, using innovative techniques to reveal both the beauty and the burden of synthetic materials that have become embedded in contemporary life. Through processes of reclamation and reinvention, he encourages critical reflection on patterns of consumption, sustainability, and our collective responsibility toward the environment. Hongkhongkha holds a B.Ed. in Art Education from Chulalongkorn University and an MFA from Silpakorn University. Through his material-driven practice, Hongkhongkha contributes to contemporary dialogues on sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the transformative potential of art.
