Daiva Karaliute
Lithuanian artist
Daiva Karaliute is a Lithuanian artist whose practice explores themes of mysticism, spirituality, mortality, and the unseen dimensions of human existence. After studying Fashion Design at Vilnius College of Design from 2018 to 2020, she developed her artistic voice as a self-taught painter, drawing inspiration from the Old Masters, religious imagery, nature, and questions surrounding eternity and the afterlife. Her works—ranging from abstraction to realism and impressionism—invite contemplation through atmospheric compositions, subtle luminosity, and a sense of mystery that lingers beyond the visible surface. Often working with a darker palette, Karaliute evokes the limits of perception and the uncertainty that surrounds humanity’s search for meaning. Through her paintings, she encourages viewers to pause and consider what may exist beyond everyday experience: the hidden, the transcendent, and the possibility of an “other side.”
