Karolina Borovinskich
Lithuanian artist
Karolina Borovinskich is a Lithuanian artist from the coastal city of Klaipeda whose practice is deeply informed by a lifelong fascination with color, imagination, and the emotional power of visual storytelling. Since childhood, she has drawn inspiration from the works of Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, Birutė Žilytė, and Salvador Dalí, later developing an affinity for the enigmatic and psychological worlds of Zdzisław Beksiński, Francis Bacon, and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. Alongside visual art, music plays a significant role in her creative process, with influences ranging from traditional folk and ethnic sounds to contemporary electronic and IDM genres. Borovinskich finds inspiration in everyday experiences, human encounters, and the natural environment, weaving these impressions into works that balance intuition, symbolism, and atmosphere. She studied Business Management and Sociology at LCC International University (2005–2010) and has been a member of the Guboja Art Club under the guidance of Regina Donbrauskaitė-Plotnikova since 2019.
