Artist Profile

Tijana Markocevic is a Serbian visual artist whose practice is grounded in painting while drawing on a broad educational background in design and visual communication. She studied Packaging Design at the School for Design in Belgrade (2007–2011) before pursuing Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where she earned a BA in Painting (2013) and an MA in Painting (2015). She subsequently continued her artistic research through doctoral studies at the same institution (2015–2018). Expanding her interdisciplinary approach, Markocevic completed a Graphic Design course at IT Academy in Belgrade (2020–2021). Her work reflects the intersection of fine art and design, combining painterly sensitivity with a strong understanding of composition, visual structure, and contemporary image-making.
