Artist Profile

Ekaterina Skvortsova-Kowalski is a visual artist and brand designer based between Baku, Moscow, and Istanbul. Her multidisciplinary practice spans painting, illustration, collage, and digital media, combining acrylics, colored pencils, mixed-media collage, and digital techniques to create vibrant, narrative-rich works. Drawing inspiration from everyday encounters, urban life, travel, and the unexpected beauty of ordinary moments, she explores themes of memory, place, identity, and human connection. Her work has received international recognition through awards and selections including the BOit! Illustration Contest Jury’s Special Mention (2026), the World Illustration Awards Shortlist (2025), and the HSE Creative Open Winner (2023), alongside numerous shortlist and longlist recognitions from leading international illustration and contemporary art competitions.
