Artist Profile

Onongua Enkhtur (b. 1994, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia) is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist working across land art, textiles, performance, and installation. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture in 2016 and began her career in traditional painting before turning toward land art and textile-based practices in 2019. Deeply shaped by her nomadic upbringing and intimate relationship with nature, Onongua explores ecological awareness, cultural memory, and the connection between humans and their environment. Working with knitting, embroidery, weaving, and mixed drawing techniques, she combines tactile processes with performative and spatial elements.
