Artist Profile
Kai-Hsing Huang
Contemporary artist based in Taipei
Kai-Hsing Huang is a contemporary artist whose practice is rooted in abstract painting and an experimental approach to materials and media. Working primarily with oil and acrylic on canvas, as well as Chinese ink and works on paper, Huang transforms sensory impressions, memories, relationships, philosophical ideas, and fragments of everyday experience into distilled visual forms. Her practice is guided by a search for what she describes as “acentered harmony,” where tangible and intangible experiences converge through creative transformation. Combining literary and philosophical references with an intuitive sensitivity to movement, energy, and the forces of nature, Huang creates works that balance mystery, tension, contemplation, and imagination. Her art invites viewers into a space where perception and emotion can unfold freely, revealing a distinctive and evolving visual language.
