Artist Profile

Iga Koncka is a Polish feminist artist and philosopher whose practice explores the complex relationship between love and violence, and the intersections of private experience with wider social and political structures. She holds a BA in Documentary Photography from the University of South Wales and an MA in Contemporary Photography: Practices and Philosophies from Central Saint Martins. Drawing on feminist thought and political consciousness, Koncka works with fragments of lived experience—conversations, gestures, images, and personal narratives—to create an emotional and embodied archive of contemporary life. Through image, text, and material experimentation, she examines intimacy, memory, identity, womanhood, care, conflict, and resistance, creating poetic spaces where personal experience meets collective histories and social realities.
