Artist Profile

Sylwia Kaden is a contemporary artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, installation, and ceramics. Her work explores the relationships between space, form, composition, colour, and material transformation. Sustainability is an integral part of her process, as seen in her Reduce, Reuse, Recycle series, where discarded plastic shopping bags are transformed into translucent sculptural surfaces. By removing familiar materials from their original function and giving them new physical and visual identities, Kaden reflects on consumption, waste, and the possibilities of reuse. Through repetition, shifts in scale, and subtle colour variations, her works create rhythmic compositions that move fluidly between painting, sculpture, and installation.
