Artist Profile

Russbelt Guerra is a Peruvian artist born in El Alto, Talara, Peru, who studied at the School of Fine Arts in Trujillo. His practice centres on the construction of symbolic worlds where reality and imagination coexist, exploring memory, mystery, transformation, and aspects of human experience that resist immediate explanation. Through figures, landscapes, animals, trees, and structures that seem to emerge from a space between dream and waking, Guerra creates images open to multiple interpretations. Characterised by precise drawing and metaphysical atmospheres, his visual language has developed over several decades into a distinctive personal iconography, in which nature and the human figure become vehicles for reflecting on existence, perception, and what remains hidden behind appearances.
