Artist Profile

Ayelet Lalor is an award-winning Irish figurative artist and sculptor whose work centres on the female figure, identity, and the transformative language of adornment. Drawing on childhood memories and the traditions of 18th-century dress and classical sculpture, she creates solitary, introspective figures that explore alter ego, power, hierarchy, and the ways we construct and present the self. Working across clay, cement, bronze, found objects, painting, and printmaking, Lalor combines the figure with elaborate headdresses and unconventional materials. Her work has been commissioned for public and private collections and exhibited widely, including at the RHA, RUA, National Museum of Ireland, Gormleys Fine Art, and Sculpture in Context.
