Artist Profile

Charlie Sutcliffe is an English multidisciplinary artist educated in London, whose diverse practice spans painting, sculpture, illustration, writing, mural painting, and farming. Working from Valencia, Spain, his artistic imagination is rooted in a lifelong fascination with flight, movement, and the fantastical. In his Project Luzmore, Sutcliffe creates suspended forms from recycled paper, paper pulp, and cork, transforming everyday materials into imaginative floating sculptures. His work draws on childhood memories and the rich cultural traditions of Valencia, particularly Las Fallas, connecting themes of renewal, craft, and transformation with a playful sense of wonder.
