Colton Dion was born in Asheville North Carolina in 1996. His work is recognizable through the warping appearance he sculpts each painting into. Colton is a self-taught artist, who believes his connection with nature and its patterns is what motivates and attracts his evolving artistic nature. His wooden sculptural paintings are directly inspired by the mountains and atmosphere surrounding his home in Western North Carolina. Colton shows his work around Asheville, currently represented by Foundation Woodworks gallery. He is working out of a studio and small woodshop at home.
