Born into an Italian family, Giulia is influenced by her great love for Ibiza. Her female portraits, with their ‘Giuliaesque’ use of colour patterns and natural elements, depict the subjects’ inherent experiences. She takes inspiration from multiculturalism, the emotional states of her protagonists, and the island’s organic elements; these often include seasonal fruits, trees, and insects. She draws particular inspiration from her background in fashion editorials; mixed media, including paper, markers, watercolour and gold leaf, are all explored in the production of her work.
