Artist Profile
Haro
Self-taught artist of Armenian and Egyptian descent
A lifelong Angelino of Armenian and Egyptian descent, Haro has had an interest in art since childhood. An auto didact who has drawn all his life without a single art lesson, Haro began dabbling in paints through high school. Haro discovered the magic of oil paints in the early 2000's but it wasn't until 2010 when he began to focus on the properties of portraiture. Understanding how shadows, highlights, contours and values work harmoniously, he began to aspire toward hyperrealism thereafter. Through the eyes of a colorblind artist, you can now see the progression of Haro's B&W portraits throughout the years.
