Adiya Kakim
Kazakhstan-born socially conscious artist
Adiya Kakim is a Kazakhstan-born artist, TEDx speaker, and activist whose multidisciplinary practice explores identity, cultural memory, and the fragile relationship between humanity and the natural world. Drawing from personal experience and social engagement, her work uses painting as a powerful tool for advocacy, addressing themes ranging from environmental degradation to child protection through the Tiny Defenders movement, which she leads as CEO. Kakim has exhibited at prominent institutions including the Military History Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Nazarbayev University, as well as international festivals, and has collaborated with initiatives such as NU Poetry, NU Art Studio, and Green Society. Committed to accessibility and cultural dialogue, Kakim also offers free lectures on art history and continues to expand her impact through public speaking, education, and emerging media platforms.
