Agaba Solomon Peabo
Self-taught multidisciplinary artist from Uganda
Agaba Solomon Peabo (b. 1999) is a Ugandan photographer and digital artist exploring the evolving relationship between technology, culture, and identity in Uganda. Inspired by Kampala’s energy and Ugandan history, Peabo uses photography, digital collage, and archival research to create layered narratives challenging dominant perspectives and amplifying marginalized voices, especially youth and women. Through projects like “Street Visions” and “Tapestry of Time,” he examines youth aspiration, gender equality, and technology’s impact. Driven by a commitment to social justice and art’s power to empower, Peabo contributes significantly to contemporary Ugandan culture, recognized as first runner-up for the Mukumbya Musoke Art Prize.
