Amy Celestina Ndione is an artist who graduated from the National School of Arts in Dakar. Upon graduation in 2015, she attended the studio of Senegalese artist Piniang, who was her mentor. She is a laureate of the 4th edition of RIPO (Rencontres Internationales de la Peinture à Ouagadougou) in 2021. She participated in the residency project followed by an exhibition as part of the 14th edition of the Dakar Biennale in the OFF with two other artists at the Italian Cultural Institute in Dakar. Amy currently explores the theme of human evolution on a scientific, philosophical and social level. She mixes painting, collage of recycled materials and sewing as a touch of femininity, to create a singular universe inspired by reality.
