Artist Profile

Andreja Rambrot Malenica is a Croatian visual artist working across painting, mixed media, sculpture, and material-based practices. Her work explores identity, consumption, memory, and the environmental impact of human activity through tactile surfaces, repetition, and material transformation. Combining acrylics, modelling paste, paper pulp, and found or discarded materials, she investigates the expressive potential of everyday objects and the meanings they acquire through use, disposal, and transformation. By juxtaposing contrasting textures and materials, her practice examines the contradictions of contemporary consumer culture, questioning the relationship between value, waste, and responsibility. Her work invites viewers to reconsider their everyday habits and reflect on the lasting traces of human consumption in the world around us.
