Anyaneto Chinenye, born in 1997 in Obosi, Anambra State, is a Nigerian visual artist whose work celebrates the beauty, identity, and cultural legacy of African women. A graduate of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, where she earned a National Diploma in Fine and Applied Art, Chinenye is recognized for her intricate portrayals of African hairstyles and her vibrant use of mixed media, including Ankara fabric. Her oil paintings spotlight Black women in diverse contexts, challenging conventional beauty standards while affirming cultural pride and representation. With exhibitions at the Miniature Art Exhibition in Lagos, ZeeArts Gallery in Dubai, and the Next of Kin Series 7 in Lagos, her evolving practice continues to contribute meaningfully to contemporary African art.
