Arnold Fokam is a young visual artist born in 1996 in Cameroon where he lives and works in the city of Douala. His work revolves around water, source of all life on Earth, in relation to the body and opens up to a multidisciplinary practice that explores the painting, the assembly, the sound creation and installation. Graduate in Plastic Arts and Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts of the University of University of Douala in Nkongsamba, he followed a training that led him more towards painting on canvas before painting on canvas before experimenting later with other mediums. Arnold is the winner of the Goethe Discovery Award 2020/Visual Arts and his work is included in several collections such as the Goethe Institute and the contemporary art center Doual'art.
