Artist Profile

Asmaa Bashashah
Libyan architect and visual artist
Asmaa Bashashah is a Libyan architect and visual artist whose work considers the psychological and physical dimensions of our surroundings—from intimate home spaces to urban environments and global policy landscapes. Asmaa has served as volunteer graphic designer and artist at Tanarout Organization for Libyan Creativity, directed the Tanarout Art Space project (supported by the Goethe-Institut), coordinated artistic initiatives at Tajarrod for Architecture and Art Foundation, and led the Fine Arts Space of the Hesa 6 project funded by AFAC . She channels her convictions into art that confronts repression, challenges social norms, and gives voice to collective feelings often overlooked. Committed to engaging communities, Asmaa’s art fosters awareness, emotional authenticity, and a re-examination of our shared environments for psychological and social well‑being.
