Ayman Mohsen Ayad is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice reimagines Arabic calligraphy through a contemporary synthesis of tradition and innovation. Working across painting, relief art, sculpture, graphic design, and digital media, he combines classical calligraphic scripts—including Thuluth, Naskh, and Nastaliq—with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and visual storytelling to transform Arabic letters into expressive architectural and pictorial forms. A distinctive aspect of his practice is the creation of calligraphic portraits that weave text and image together to celebrate cultural figures while conveying identity, history, and emotion. Since 2017, Ayad has been actively engaged in preserving and promoting Emirati heritage through teaching, workshops, and educational publications. Bridging historical Arabic and Islamic traditions with contemporary visual culture, his work positions calligraphy as a living artistic language that speaks across generations and cultural boundaries.
