Artist Profile
Christina Kenton
Self-taught artist from Canada
Christina Kenton is an emerging self taught artist from Canada. Her main influence are the surrealist works of her grandfather Ladislav Guderna, member of the Slovakian Surrealist Group "Avantgarda".
Christina Kenton describes herself as a self-taught painter who mostly uses mixed media while watching true crime documentaries and listening to 90's music. She has been creating her lighter protectors sculptures for around a decade now. Along with the common therapeutic effects of art making, Kenton also noticed the repetitive, detailed work helped soothe her chronic vertigo.
