Artist Profile

Clotilde Degommier
Artist based between Paris and Barcelona
Clotilde Degommier began drawing and painting as a child, deeply inspired by the Impressionist movement after spending countless hours at the Musée d’Orsay admiring works by Van Gogh and Renoir. Fascinated by the color, movement, and storytelling in their art, she pursued formal training in an art school for ten years, drawing additional inspiration from artists like Frida Kahlo and Otto Dix. What started as a hobby grew into a passion and eventually became a form of therapy. Two years ago, she made a transformative move to Barcelona, where she discovered her unique artistic voice. Her work now explores scenes from everyday life, often inspired by her friends, through a style that blends abstraction and modernism, while still echoing the expressive brushstrokes and emotional depth of Impressionism.
